FAQ’s

01.How does Veterans’ Care differ from other home care services?

Veteran’s care addresses the unique needs of individuals who have served in the military. Unlike standard home care, which provides broad support, veterans’ care includes managing post-service conditions. Our caregivers deliver compassionate support that respects veterans’ service and sacrifices.

02.Is Veterans’ Care covered by insurance?

At Attend Home Care, we believe that veterans’ care should be accessible to all individuals who have served in the military. We proudly accept a wide variety of insurance plans to reduce out-of-pocket costs for home veterans’ care. Medicaid and managed health care plans, VA benefits, and long-term care insurance plans may offer coverage for in-home veteran care services. The Department of Veterans Affairs Aid and Attendance Benefit may also provide full or partial coverage for in-home care services. For accurate information on your personal coverage options for veterans’ care, contact your insurance provider.

03.Who qualifies for Veterans’ Care?

If you or a loved one is a wartime veteran and needs assistance with daily living due to age, injury, or illness, you may be eligible for veterans’ care. Eligibility may vary depending on length of service, discharge status, and specific health needs. Our team at Attend Home Care will assist you through the application process by obtaining the necessary documentation for our veteran home care services.

04.Are VA Caregivers available for overnight or 24-hour services?

Yes, our caregivers are available for both overnight and 24-hour services. This flexibility ensures that veterans can access necessary support at any time of day or night. For 24-hour care, our caregivers operate in shifts to ensure your loved one receives consistent care throughout the day and night. For those seeking overnight care, our caregivers are available during nighttime hours to assist your loved one.

05.How are VA caregivers vetted?

Each of our caregivers undergoes rigorous background checks, verification of certifications, and detailed interviews to assess their experience and dedication. Attend Home Care provides specialized training to equip caregivers with the knowledge and skills needed to provide exceptional care to veterans.
